BRONLLYS: THE NEXT TEN YEARS (2020-2030)
Building on the wishes of the people in South East Powys communities, this Report outlines the numerous initiatives that are intended to create a bright and sustainable future for Bronllys Community Hospital.
It calls for the co-operation, collaboration and involvement of all stakeholders, and suggests a series of practical and achievable actions for the next twelve months that will begin the process of realising the full potential of Bronllys Community Hospital and the communities it serves, within the next decade.
“Faith communities recognise that human beings are more than flesh, bone and blood. They are body, mind and spirit, and each aspect of what they are requires stimulation, aspiration and refreshment if the entire person is to flourish and have a true experience of well-being. Christians follow a Lord who is recorded as having expressed the desire that human beings should have ‘life in all its fullness’ – thriving not merely surviving and those whose aim it is to nurture, sustain and develop the Bronllys Well-being Park understand this well. Their long- term vision is something which I both admire and support. We have a rich resource and facility on our doorstep in the beautiful area where we are privileged to live, and the aim of making best use of it for both present and future generations is something which I am delighted to be able to wholeheartedly endorse.”
The Most Revd. John D E Davies - Y Parchedicaf John D E Davies Archbishop of Wales & Bishop of Swansea and Brecon
The Bronllys Well Being Park is a wonderful example of a community working together to create what will be a fantastic asset for not only Bronllys and Mid Powys, but is also a real inspiration for other communities too. I am delighted the Community Land Trust has been able to work closely with Powys County Council as well as other partners to try and establish a Well Being Park in the grounds of Bronllys Community Hospital. I am thrilled The One Powys Plan was a central inspiration in what you are trying to achieve for your communities, Powys County Council and to Powys Teaching Health Board in the challenges we face in the 21st Century.
Cllr Beverley Baynham Chair of Powys County Council
I fully endorse all the Bronllys Wellbeing Park Committee are doing. They live in the area and understand the needs of the Community for health, work, housing and recreation. They have my full support and thanks for their efforts on our behalf.
