2 Llangattock Beechwood and Recreation Ground

This popular circular walk meanders through a small woodland. Although there are
no longer mature beech trees, this attractive site is home to much wildlife. There is
a wide gate at the entrance to the site, leading to a stone-dust surfaced path with
picnic tables and benches. The recommended route is anti-clockwise for wheelchair
users due to a gentle slope. A gate leads into the recreation ground where there is
undercover seating.
How to get there: The main entrance to the site can be found beyond the cattle grid on
Park Drive opposite the Horseshoe Inn NP8 1PA. There is also an entrance gate by the
cattle grid.

Public Transport: Bus 43 (TC) to Llangattock or X43 to Crickhowell, a mile away.
Parking: A small parking area for disabled badge holders is beyond the cattle grid next
to the entrance gate. There is also parking along Park Drive.
Nearest EV Charging: Beaufort Street Car Park, Crickhowell, NP8 1AE.
Distance: ½ mile/800m
Facilities: There is a pub and a hotel in the village, more facilities in Crickhowell.
Toilets: There are toilets in the recreation ground including a Changing Places toilet.
