ODDI WRTH YR UWCH
FROM THE PRESIDENT
What a season we have had! The move to a new division has been very successful and we enjoyed
a tremendous season playing exciting games and making new friends.
The penultimate game was a cruncher, the outcome
of which decided who was going to be promoted.
Gwernyfed narrowly missed out, but it was a great
match played in the true spirit of the game and a
credit to both sides and their coaching teams.
At the Brian Jones Memorial Field, the new toilet
block situated on the field is coming along at a
good pace and we expect the building to be usable
by the minis/juniors/Kites for the start of this season
in September.
We are, however, still short of funds to enable
completion. Fundraising so far has been admirable
but can I please urge you to ‘Buy a Brick’ so that we
do not have to go into the red and secure loans.
Finally, a huge thank you to all those who keep our
Club running so successfully, not just those on the
main committees but also all those who play a vital
part in other ways – to the many coaches of the
senior, junior and mini teams, to those who collect
gate fees week in, week out, to those who mark the
pitches – the list goes on! The number of volunteers
involved is considerable and they all deserve our
sincere thanks.
Onwards to our 60th season where I am sure will all
be treated to some fantastic quality rugby!
The number of volunteers involved
at our club is considerable - they all
deserve our sincere thanks...
