2. Job Description:
Create a comprehensive job description outlining:
● Job title
● Primary responsibilities and duties
● Required qualifications, skills, certification and experience
● Reporting structure and leadership chain (who they report to) ● Salary and benefits package
Approval and Budget Alignment
3. Captain/HOD Approval:
Obtain approval from the Captain and relevant Head of Department to start work on the new position or vacancy.
4. Selection Criteria:
Collaborate with the HOD to define specific selection criteria and essential skills for the role and review the old role if it’s a replacement position.
5. Budgetary Considerations:
Ensure the position aligns with the existing vessel budget and financial planning.
6. Compensation:
Confirm that the proposed compensation package (salary, benefits, leave) is competitive and aligns with industry standards for similar roles on comparable yachts.
