Traction Angle Settings
• E, D, C, B, A settings – commonly used when the patient presents with significant Forward
Head Posture (greater than 15mm) combined with loss or reversal of the neck curve.
• *NOTE – Patients generally begin at a less intense “E” setting and progress to the more intense “A”
setting if their neck flexibility and tolerance for extension traction allows.
• Not all patients will be able to tolerate the “A” and “B” settings due to the rigorous nature
of these traction positions.
• **NOTE – Traction:Fulcrum pressure settings ratio in the iTrac software will generally be 1:2 or 1:3 for
these traction arm settings, depending on patient stature (large patients = 1:2, small/average
patients = 1:3)
