                           3. Friendship with the world is hatred toward God

characteristic of adultery is the worldly luxury, waste, and

pleasure. Whom do you think luxury is for? Is it for Jesus?
Is it for faith? It is for you, yourself. Also waste and pleasure
are all for you. Everyone does luxury and waste for their own
satisfaction and for their own feeling, but not for Jesus, nor
for faith. It is to commit adultery with the world. 1 Timothy

2:9 says that women dress modestly not with gold or pearl
or expensive clothes. It means to forbid luxuries. And it says
women need to dress modestly, with decency and propriety. It
says it should be for the one who has reverence God.
So, Revelation 17:4 says well about this, whether the

faith of those who serve God is true or false. It says, The
woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glit-

tering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a
golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and
the filth of her adulteries. The ‘woman’ mentioned here is
a parable of those who are believers, who serve God. Being
dressed in purple and scarlet mentioned here, means to hold
the power of the world, or to try to have the power and to live
in wealth and honor, or to envy such living in a luxurious

lifestyle, or to enjoy honor currently and live in addicted the
luxury living style. That determined whether you have faith
or not is revealed by living with addicted the luxury living
style, or it is revealed that you have a purpose to get wealth

                 and honor.
