sinful nature desires. Those who so-called have faith know

well about this theoretically, but they still live while commit-
ting adultery in their real life. They are bringing as it is what
they have lived as a friend of the world before they believe
in Jesus, so they think those are reasonable acts within faith,
and they act without any sense. That’s why punishment fol-

lows in their bodies or environment.

From the verse 4 that we read, ‘friendship with the world’, the
world is called ‘cosmos’ in Greek. The meaning of the cos-
mos is a system, organization, or the adversary, the enemy,

the control of the evil. To sum up, it means ‘what Satan has
made systematically and organizationally for his thing’.
There are many words about ‘the world’ in the Bible.
But, when it says ‘the world’, everything does not mean Sa-

tan’s cosmos. In some parts of the New Testament, the world
is also called ‘Aion’ or ‘Oikumene’ in the original language.
Anyway, the original languages are all different when it refers
to the world of time or the ‘existing world’ or the ‘material
world’. So you must understand the meaning through the

sentences and context when it is called the world. I mean, if
you look at the word of ‘the world’ in the Bible, you should
not understand it unconditionally as the cosmos world orga-
nized by Satan. For example, in Hebrews 4:3 and 9:26, it says,

since the creation of the world, that is, it says God created the
