FINAL REFLECTION

WRITING II is a very useful subject that develops the writing skill especially the academic

writing. This knowledge is really important because it will be helpful to do the thesis of the
career in the future. Writing II has helped me to write better essays, to avoid punctuation

mistakes and to correct my grammar errors.

First, I learned to write good essays following different steps. I studied how to write an

expository paragraph, a division essay, a cause-and-effect essay and a comparison/contrast

essay. Each of them has its own steps, linkers and conjunctions, and using them makes the
essay clear and accurate. Second, I corrected some mistakes of punctuation that I had. For

example, I learned when to use commas, colons and semicolons through the practice of
some online exercises. Third, I improve my knowledge of grammar about some topics. One

of those topic was the order of adjectives so I memorized the rule that is applied and that
was new for me.

As conclusion, I can say that this subject was very meaningful in the learning of academic
writing. I expanded the knowledge that I had the last semester about writing because I knew

just to write paragraphs but in this semester I learned to write different kinds of essays. I
think that we should continue practicing what we learned about essays, punctuation and

grammar and we will do good writing assignments.
