P. 14
This is when your Teddy truly
becomes unique!
Create a face with simple stitches using the black yarn or
use the plastic safety nose and eyes included in your kit.
1. If you are using a plastic nose & eyes they
will need to be attached before the head is 1
completed. They should have a washer for
secure fixing.
2. After Round 22 insert the nose through the
centre of the magic ring from outside in. 3
3. Insert the eyes between the 6 & 7th rows and
4-6 stitches apart. Make sure you are happy with
the positioning because once the washers are 2
attached the eyes & nose are no longer movable.
Push the washer on to the post. Apply even
pressure with both thumbs to slide the washer
down the eye post. Finish crocheting the Head. 4
CAUTION: These are small parts and are a
choking hazard for young children
1
The hand stitched nose & eyes are applied after
the head is completed and stuffed.
1. Using a yarn sewing needle and black yarn
start with the nose. Make a few straight 2
stitches, not too tight, to define the shape.
2. Make 2 marker stitches for the eyes using 3
the nose as a guide for the distance apart.
3. Fill in the nose and eyes to suit.
4. You can also add eyebrows and/or a mouth. 4
This may take several attempts to get right but
it can easily be unpicked.
