Page 11 - TEDDY INSTRUCTIONS FEB 2017
P. 11
Your Teddy is made from 8 separate parts and
should be completed in the following order:
1 2 3 4 5
Legs Body
Ears Arms x2 Head
x2 x2
The Ears, Arms & Legs all begin with the same Magic Ring & 7
rounds of crochet. If you are new to crochet starting with the Ears
gives you a chance to practise using the Magic Ring Maker and
creating Single Crochet stitches.
Whilst the instructions have been written with the novice in mind the
more experienced crocheter may still find some of the information
useful.
The right side of your piece is facing you as you crochet.
Do not cut the length of cast on yarn to less than 8cm, if at all. It can
be left inside the completed piece.
Leave approx 40cm of yarn as you complete each piece for sewing
your teddy together later.
Use a stitch Marker or contrast yarn to mark each round.
Your Teddy parts can be lightly pressed before being stuffed but be
careful not to flatten the yarn too much.
Tension or Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tightly to ensure
that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
