INTRODUCTION
Genomic medicine aims to utilize the individual’s genomic information to
support the clinical decision-making process (Manolio et al., 2015). In recent
years, significant advances have been made in understanding the molecular
basis of a wide range of human inherited diseases and cancers with the poten-
tial to improve disease prognosis and treatment (Kilpinen and Barrett, 2013).
