key questions in practical politics, the Mau resources
are contested for by the elite as well as the masses, to
understand the Mau imbriglio, we need to understand
the elite and the masses’ conjecture with the Mau forest.
The Elite
Many elite own large pieces of land in the Mau
forest complex, most of these elite are busy annihilating
the Mau trees for individual gain. For paper riches, the
elite, especially the ones in power , are willing to bend
the law and escape its enormous jaws in their bid to
acquire most of what can be acquired. Therefore the
elite wish to safeguard their source of bread. The elite

The Masses
