The Way Forward

To deal with the Mau we need to understand the elite

and the masses, their arguments, positions and

conclusions. The following solutions will help:

1. Fairness in Evictions

If we say we are evicting people from the Mau, let us

evict them in a fair manner, let us not inflict injury on

anyone, let no one remain behind, ALL encroachers

must be removed from the Mau,

2. Impartial decisionmakers

People charged with making critical decisions

not possess any personal stake in the Mau resources.

3. Civil Education

People should be informed on the importance of

preserving the Mau, if people are well educated on
