1.BOGUS COURSES
Some courses offered in colleges and universities are
partially or entirely useless to the current dynamics in
the job market, such courses have to be scrapped from
our education system.
2.INCOMPETENCE
Most youths are not competent enough to navigate
through the intricacies of the job market, no employer in
his right mind can employ an incompetent person.
3.POOR GOVENMENT POLICY
The government is preaching water and drinking
wine, 1 million jobs per annum were enshrined in the
Jubilee manifesto, something which we are yet to see.
The government is busy recycling the old guard into key
dockets leaving the youth at the mercies of nature.
SOLUTIONS
1.SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO OUR
EDUCATION CURRICULUM.
We need to change our education curriculum to a
competence based system(cbc), the cbc design will
enable us to produce more competent graduates who
will easily find jobs.
