            UNDERSTANDING THE SOUTH SUDAN

            CONFLICT

In a pure sense, the south Sudan conflict is a conflict of

resources, who gets the most of what can be got? , it is a

problem of striking a balance in the rationale of

resource allocation. Conflicts protracted in the name of

resources are very violent in nature because more often

than not, they operate under the aegis of survival of the

fittest in consonance with Darwin’s conceptions.
