Candi Sumur got its name from a well inside it,
                                                         which that has now dried up. Candi Sumur was discovered
                                                         on October 10, 1906.

                                                               Candi Sumur is no longer intact, the only parts
                                                         remaining are walls on the eastern and southern sides of
                                                         WKH ERG\  LWV ÀRRU DQG IRXQGDWLRQ  $OWKRXJK UHVWRUDWLRQ KDG
                                                         been conducted, the feet, the body and the roof were not
                                                         fully restored. The west-facing temple was built of brick.
                                                         With a square plan measuring 8 m x 8 m, Candi Sumur size
                                                         is smaller than Candi Pari nearby. There is no relief, either
                                                         on foot nor on the body of the temple. Its steps located on

                                                         the southern side are very steep, because the banisters are
                                                         no longer in place.
