At level 3, the learner is encouraged to apply their new understanding to create new products, systems, environments or media. The Learning Process encompasses the design process, and these two processes drive the learner’s thinking. These processes result in learners increasing the depth of their understanding as they develop new and innovative ideas, concepts and concept frameworks.
Inevitably there will be numerous iterations of the emerging solution to the need or opportunity that the learners will identify. The Learning Process will require the learner to find additional knowledge to form additional new ideas and concepts that may alter the solution they finally create.
The Learning Process not a linear process, in fact, its complexity is amazing and each solution follows a unique pathway. That we can apply such an intricate process successfully is a tribute to the complexity of our brain’s integrated learning systems. Our 4+(1) learning systems that we have available, allow us to build an appreciation of the profoundly complex nature of the universe we live in.
Our greatest learning challenge remains how we manage our relationships we have with each other and how we ensure no additional species are eliminated from this spinning blue orb, while it is under our watch.
