1.13.1 GENERAL LANDING GEAR EMERGENCY
INFORMATION ACAWS
As a general rule for landing gear system malfunctions, if all landing
gear are down and locked, do not retract the landing gear unless a GROUND
greater emergency exists. Additionally, if there is known or suspected
damage to main landing gear structural components, it is recommended
that the crew secure the landing gear down, using the Main Landing TAKEOFF
Gear Tiedown procedures.
If any landing gear fails to extend after normal operation of the landing FIRE/SMK
NORM gear control lever, attempt to identify the malfunction before making
further attempts to lower the gear. Check circuit breakers, utility hydraulic

WARNING HYD
If the soft panel is used to lower the landing gear, due to FLT CTRL
hard panel failure, do not turn the soft panel off until the
nose gear is pinned and all personnel are clear of the
nose wheel area. Selecting soft panel to VERIFY OFF GEAR
may send the last valid hard panel command of gear up
to the landing gear selector valve.
