Take  the bight around  the
                               5  back  of the standing parts.



















        Bring  the  bight up and trip
     4  the standing parts into  the
     bowline  form. The bight is now                        Tuck  the  bight down  from
     lying  parallel  to  the  standing                  6  front  to  back, through  the
     parts. Adj ust  the  twin  loops to                 knot. The  bight will  form the
     the  required size.                                 third  loop.





                                                                   NOTE
                                                              If one of the  standing
                                                              parts  is  shorter  than  the
                                                              othe1; for sewrity,  tie  it
                                                              to  its  partner with  a
                                                              doi1ble  overhand  knot.









        Grasp  all  of the  legs  of the
     7  loops firmly  in  one  hand,
     and  the  two standing parts of
     the  rope  in  the  other hand, and
     pull  in  opposite  directions.
