              Inactivating Contacts

To prevent Superion staff from contacting inactive contacts, it is very important to inactivate the
Contact record in Salesforce. There are various reasons to inactivate a contact, including job
                 changes or retirement.

                     1. On the Contact record, change the Status field to Inactive.

                     2. In the Description field, add a note regarding the reason the contact should be inactivated
using best practices format: MM/DD/YY Initials – Reason for leaving

Example: 8/15/2017 DJS: No longer with the Police Department

                     3. Click Save.

Note: You can also use the Status field to indicate it is a Duplicate contact by selecting
                     Duplicate in the Status field.

Result: An email is sent to the Salesforce Administrator who takes any additional required
                 actions.
