INTRODUCING HOUSEKEEPING WARS
By Jessica DeSantis, Operations Administration
The Mix Room, Chemical Dispensing Room, and Cleaning & Sanitization (C&S) areas are
subject to regular Housekeeping Audits and Micro Awareness Audits. In an effort to improve
audit results and motivate their employees, Roy Albertson, Chemical Operations Manager,
and Shelly Hershberger, Production Process Manager C&S, came together to develop
Housekeeping Wars. Each month, Mix and C&S compete to have the fewest unsatisfactory
audit findings. Examples of unsatisfactory findings include hoses touching the floor,
squeegees not put away, and leaking connections. Whichever group has the fewest
unsatisfactory findings at the end of each month will win a t-shirt and pizza lunch. Over the
last six months, there have been three wins for C&S and three wins for Mix, and
Housekeeping Audit results are at an all-time high. Clearly, both teams are working hard to
ensure they have excellent audit results. Thank you to Mix and C&S for your hard work!
