KEY SUSTAINABILITY TERMS: SWOW requires shared definitions of new
               concepts across the Enterprise. The following are definitions of key terms that
               are commonly used at GOJO when talking about sustainability.

                   • Biobased products are those that are composed mostly of plant or
                       animal materials that are renewable and contain no synthetics or
                       environmentally damaging substances.

                   • Biodegradable is the capacity of a material to decompose over time as a
                       result of biological activity, such as enzymes produced by living
                       organisms.

                   • Carbon Footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases emitted
                       directly or indirectly through any human activity, typically expressed in
                       equivalent tons of either carbon or carbon dioxide.

                   • Chemicals of Concern is a chemical that meets any of the following
                       criteria:
                          o  Carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction (CMR);
                          o  Persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substance (PBT);
                          o Any other chemical for which there is scientific evidence of
                              probable serious effects to human health or the environment that
                              give rise to an equivalent level of concern (for example, an
                              endocrine disruptor or neurotoxicant); or
                          o A chemical whose breakdown products result in a CoHC that
                              meets any of the above criteria.

                   • Chemical Footprint is the total mass of chemicals of high concern
                       (CoHCs) in products sold by a company, used in its manufacturing
                       operations and by its suppliers, and contained in packaging.

                   • DfE, or the Design for the Environment Safer Product Labeling Program,
                       advances EPA's mission to protect human health and the environment.
                       The program uses EPA's chemical knowledge and resources to carefully
                       evaluate products and to label only those that have met the program's
                       leadership standard. By allowing use of the logo on products, EPA
                       empowers consumers and commercial purchasers to select safer,
                       effective chemical products that do not sacrifice quality or performance—
                       and are safer for people and the planet. Design for the Environment
                       labels a variety of chemical-based products, like all-purpose cleaners,
                       laundry detergents, and carpet and floor care products.

                   • ECOLOGO Certified products, services and packaging are certified for
                       reduced environmental impact. ECOLOGO Certifications are voluntary,
                       multi-attribute, lifecycle based environmental certifications that indicate a
                       product has undergone rigorous scientific testing, exhaustive auditing, or
                       both, to prove its compliance with stringent, third-party, environmental       S W O W  S M
