IT’S OPEN ENROLLMENT TIME!
OCTOBER 23-NOVEMBER 13

Open Enrollment for your 2019 benefit elections is October 23 – November 13. The annual benefits open
enrollment period is your opportunity to make changes to your benefit elections for the following year and to
see what may be changing with your benefits. Open enrollment is your chance to:
• Change, elect or drop medical, dental or vision coverage
• Update your Spouse/Domestic Partner coverage surcharge election
• Update coverage levels by adding or removing dependents
• Contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care FSAs, or a Health
Savings Accounts (HSA) – Note: new FSA and HSA elections must be made annually. These elections
will not carry over from the prior year
• Elect or change voluntary critical illness and accident coverage
• Elect or increase supplemental life insurance coverage
• Update your life insurance and retirement savings plan beneficiary designations
Remember, the annual open enrollment period is your only opportunity to enroll, change, or cancel most of
your benefit elections, unless you experience an IRS qualified life event during the year. Click here for more
information on IRS qualified life events. If you experience one of these events and want to elect, change, or
cancel your coverage, you must notify Benefits Services within 31 days of the
event. Otherwise, you must wait until the next annual open enrollment period. Inside this issue
