EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT—MANNY GARCIA
By Kim Bogucki, Logistics Administration
Manny Garcia, Warehouse Manager at the GOJO Distribution Center,
Lippman Campus has been with GOJO for a little over nine months. One of
the reasons he chose to work for GOJO was because his wife’s family lives in
the area, and Manny promised her that if the opportunity came about, they
would relocate from Indiana to Ohio to bring her closer to her sister and
mother, and GOJO provided that opportunity.
Manny grew up in Southern California and spent about six years in Indiana
before enlisting in the Marine Corps. I’m sure the military had something to do
with the fact that Manny gets a haircut every day!
His favorite GOJO memory happened on August 10, 2018, exactly at 3:00pm.
When asked what happened Manny said, “The Supply Chain Team will know

and his wife Jackie.
When asked who he looks up to, Manny said, “I grew up looking up to my
mother Silvia. She always did everything she could to provide for us and keep
me out of trouble - thanks mom.” His family, consisting of his wife Jackie, son
Tyler, and daughters Ali and Hailee, are everything to Manny. His favorite
place to visit on vacation? Right here in his own backyard. He enjoys the
comfort of his own home, and as Manny said, “Those often tend to be the
best vacations.” The only pet they have in the house is his daughter’s
lionhead rabbit “Peter Rabbit.” In the future, they want to add a German
Rottweiler to his family.
Besides his love for his family, Manny also likes to work out and try new
restaurants. He doesn’t have a favorite genre of music, “It all depends on my
mood. I can listen to anything from classical to heavy metal and everything in
between”.

Because of his love for his family, he wants to be
somewhere near his kids. “I want to have the ability to hang
out with my grandkids whenever I want”.
One valuable thing Manny has learned and would like to
share is, “Find something to be thankful for when things are
NOT going your way,” while quoting President Abraham
Lincoln, “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want
to test a men’s character, give him power.”
Well said, Manny!
