5. NON-FRATERNIZATION
To avoid any perception that could compromise employee well-being, any
involvement of dating or of a romantic nature between any officer, director, manager,
or supervisor of GOJO and anyone he/she supervises, either directly or indirectly, is
prohibited. Violation of this rule will lead to corrective action up to, and including
termination of the management individual involved.
6. SMOKING
All employees have the right to work in an environment free from the hazards of
tobacco smoke. Because of the overwhelming evidence that smoking is dangerous
and injurious to health, employees are encouraged not to smoke.
All GOJO workplace facilities are smoke-free. Failure to abide by this Policy will
result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. GOJO complies with
state and local laws that prohibit smoking in public places and places of employment,
ingress and egress, placement of smoking receptacles, or other areas specified by
ordinances.
As GOJO stakeholders, employees are expected to not discard cigarettes or empty
vehicle ashtrays into the parking lot. Through teamwork and commitment, we will
maintain a safe and healthy work atmosphere.
7. WORKPLACE VIOLENCE PREVENTION
The Company is committed to preventing workplace violence and maintaining a safe
work environment. Given the increasing violence in society in general, the Company
has adopted the following guidelines to deal with intimidation, harassment, or other
violence or threats of violence that may occur during business hours or on its
premises.
All individuals, including GOJO employees, supervisors, managers, contractors and
vendors, and those on assignment through temporary agencies, should be treated
with courtesy and respect at all times. Employees are expected to refrain from
fighting, "horseplay," or other conduct that may be dangerous to others. Firearms,
weapons, and other dangerous or hazardous devices or substances are prohibited
on any GOJO work site without proper authorization. Employees are not restricted
from transporting or storing lawfully possessed firearms in the employee’s privately-
owned vehicle, while the vehicle is in a Company employee parking area, if and only if all
of the following requirements are satisfied: (1) the employee holds a valid concealed
handgun license; (2) the firearm is located in the employee’s privately-owned vehicle;(3)
the employee is physically present in the vehicle; OR (4) if the employee is not present in
the vehicle, then the firearm is locked in the trunk, glove box or another enclosed
compartment within the vehicle; and (5) the vehicle is parked where it is authorized to be. Employment
