EIGHT HOYAS NAMED NISCA ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETES
The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) recently named the following eight Georgetown Prep student-athletes as 2019-2020 All-American Athletes:
• Luke Addington ’20 • Ryan Mathis ’20
• Nick Spicer ’20
• Dylan Danaie ’21
• Brett Feyerick ’21 • David Fitch ’21
• Gellert Kish ’21
• Josh Wolfson ’22
All are members are Prep’s varsity swimming and diving team. Recent graduates Mathis and Spicer continued their careers in college, swimming for Boston College and NYU, respectivetly. Addington went on to attend the University of Virginia.
The seniors were honored as a result of their participation as members of three Prep relays that were recognized nationally and locally by The Washington Post as being among the top times in the U.S. Those relays were:
• 200 Medley Relay (Feyerick, Danaie,
Mathis, and Addington): 1:31.70
• 200 Freestyle Relay (Feyerick, Mathis,
Addington, and Fitch): 1:24.96
• 400 Freestyle Relay (Danaie, Spicer, Fitch
and Feyerick): 3:05.84
Individual recipients of this year’s All- American award were:
• Feyerick
100 Freestyle: 45.15 50 Freestyle: 20.71 100 Backstroke: 48.16
• Kish
Top 100 in 1 Meter Diving: 416 points
• Danaie
100 Breaststroke: 56.20
• Wolfson
100 Breaststroke: 56.68
The NISCA All-American recognizes
the Top 100 high school swimmers per event
in the United States. Several of the swimmers are two-time All Americans, and diver Gellert Kish is the first Prep diver in more than a decade to receive the prestigious award.
“The boys have worked hard for this prestigious award, training year-round in the pool and the gym to attain this degree of success,” said Prep Coach Matt Mongelli ’93, and a multi-year recipient of the Washington Post’s Coach of the Year. “They broke several team and pool records this past season and we look forward to more success in the coming year with a strong group of rising seniors.”
PREP SWIMMERS NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA TEAM
Brett Feyerick ’21, Dylan Danaie ’21, and Josh Wolfson ’22 were named to the 2019-2020 Academic All-America Team by USA Swimming. Feyerick earned Academic All-America honors for

the third straight year while Danaie and Wolfson are repeat honorees.
The three Georgetown Prep varsity swimmers are among the 1,087 swimmers from across the county to earn Academic All- America honors.
