Excellence Relationships Teamwork Pride
SOUTH EAST
Colchester
Carl Derrick, joined the Company in April last year 1
following a relocation back to the area from the
East Midlands. Since joining, Carl has been keen
to affect a positive and proactive approach in
everything we do at Colchester.
“Lorne Stewart has a set of values that align largely with my own ethos in
delivering excellence in everything we do. I have found our values easy to adopt
and have my own take on what they mean to me as a leader of the Colchester
team. I believe in: 2
1. Being the best in class, from health and safety through to delivery.
14 2. One team – at all levels internally and externally as by working together
we are stronger and achieve more.
3. Delivering on our promises; simply, doing what we say we will.
4. Ensuring effective and productive communication at all times.
When I arrived in April last year it was evident that whilst we had a number of
projects on site, there was no plan to nurture the client nor did we focus on our
values and so when that work completed the next projects did not follow. We
had no vision of the pipeline of opportunities nor any relationships with MEP
consultants or in fact with local main contractors. 3
During this time we have worked hard to increase our networking presence and
to engage with consultants. In so doing we are starting to develop relationships
and knowledge of the prospects ahead of us.
We plan to develop our relationships in the region with our supply chain, our
clients, and the professional teams that work with us to collaboratively hand over
the very best buildings and facilities in the UK. We plan to build upon the current
successes and the strength of the wider business to grow the branch into a truly
respected leader in the region.
