We have already secured orders for 2019 at a respectable 85% of our targeted
turnover. Within the next three months our aim is secure the outstanding 15%
and then seek work for 2020.

In 2019 we need to build on our portfolio of repeat business. We have secured
another project at Manchester Airport which is with a new client; Galliford Try
Infrastructure. This was awarded to us due to our excellent performance on the
Multi-Storey Car Park A1 and A2 with BAM Construction, which is a fantastic
achievement and we look forward to getting started.
A key aim for 2019 is to ‘get it right first time’. We currently lose approximately
5% of our direct costs on rectifying errors and poor workmanship. To combat
this we need to learn lessons from previous errors to establish best practice
moving forward. We must proactively plan, check and interrogate all of our
actions effectively at every stage of the project. When we do this right, we will
see our profit margins significantly increase.

Finally, we will be focussed on maintaining our excellent SHEQ performance.
I’m delighted to say that our AFR and AIR for 2018 was zero and long may this
continue.
Let’s all concentrate our efforts in making 2019 a successful year whilst
producing a quality product that we and our stakeholders are proud to
be associated with.”
