“The Southwest region continues to stabilise itself
in the area with a view to continued growth in 2019.
Turnover has been increased from 2017 with continued
success in the direct client market.
There were a number of successes in 2018, and there are two projects that
stand out to me in particular. Firstly, the delivery of Quantum heating to 184
18 properties for Cornwall Housing. This project involved managing 184 individual 1
tenants across the county; meeting with each one individually to plan and
execute the work in a timely and professional manner. Additionally we tendered 2 3
and secured a plant upgrade project at RNAS Culdrose with Amey Defence
Services which finished off the year in a positive manner and gave us a good
start going into 2019. This project is still ongoing and will be completed in
May 2019.
We continued to face commercial challenges in 2018 which included legacy
issues and outstanding sub-contract payments, both of which effected cash and
profit. That being said, with some good results on projects we were able to turn
a profit at the end of 2018 despite these issues and going into 2019 with no
legacy projects.
