                                                        Why is this important?

                 1. The Colony of Georgia became a focal point of Gods Providential work in individuals, groups,
and the history of the United States that has not been well recognized.

                 2. It was not merely that the refugee colonist brought their Faith to Georgia, but they were also
led by leaders of their same Faith in the civic establishment and administration of the colony.

                 3. Members off the Colony of Georgia played key parts in the protection and consolidation of the

British colonies that would continue to grow together, the laying of Spiritual foundation of the
Great Awakening, of Church Denominations that would enrich Georgia and the birth of the
                      Nation.

                 4. With the end of the Spanish attempts to conquer Georgia and the Carolinas and the Spiritual

effect of Great Awakening, Georgia and the other Colonies would continue to grow in a
unified identity and culture under British rule. A fact which eventually lead to their assertion
of an independent identity from British rule as the United States of America 40 years later.
