เขามักจะก าลังท างานในสวนเสมอเมื่อเราไปหาเขา

 She was complaining about the weather.

(5) กริยาประเภทที่แสดงถึงสภาพจิตใจ (mind) ความรู้สึกทางประสามสัมผัส (sense),

have = มี, และกริยาอื่นๆ ที่มีปรากฎอยู่ในความรู้สึกทางประสาท (ในข้อควรจ าของ Present

Continuous Tense) จะน ามาใช้ใน Past Continuous Tense ไม่ได้ ต้องใช้ Past Simple Tense

ถูก : He seemed anxious to go out.

ดูเหมือนเขาจะกระตือรือร้นที่จะออกไป

ผิด : He was seeming anxious to go out.
ถูก : As he walked along, he suddenly remembered something.

ขณะที่เขาเดินไปนั้น ทันใดเขาก็จ าบางสิ่งขึ้นมาได้

ผิด : As he walked along, he suddenly was remembering something.

ถูก : We noticed that he was wearing spectacles.

เราสังเกตเห็นว่าเขาสวมแว่น

ผิด : We were noticing that he was wearing spectacles.
