 BULLSEYE PRAYERS
an exclusive preserve for Himself. No person is allowed to avenge himself or herself. Each one who is oppressed or afflicted by any person has only one legitimate option and it is to turn to God and cry for vengeance.
This was the option that the widow in Luke 18 exercised. In the circumstance, having preserved vengeance for Himself alone, God is obliged to arise and do the needful. God would be unjust to deny one who is barred from taking vengeance when it is required, without hearkening to his or her cry. We should exercise faith in God, being fully persuaded that He will honour His word on our behalf.
Do You Have Faith?
Take note that this prayer requires great faith, the one that moves mountains. Look at how Jesus ended the parable of this widow. He wondered aloud whether the Son of Man will find faith on the earth when He comes!
We are being told here that absence of faith or unbelief remains a key factor that could hinder God from executing vengeance for us when we call on Him to do so. If the Son of Man does not find faith when He comes, He will not be able to answer our prayer.
