BULLSEYE PRAYERS
Can it be surprising, therefore, that the prayers that we offer with a view to seeking a blessing for others will always receive answers? Yes, they will always be ‘bullseye’ prayers because God will always rise up to honour us and show us mercy in such situations.
It is the same mercy that opens the door to the blessings of grace and help to us whenever we approach the throne of grace to resolve our needs (Hebrews 4:16). Engaging this type of prayers as Jesus did, taking up the needs of others in prayers, albeit without their express knowledge or request, positions us to get answers to our prayers every time.
More than the virtue of importunity and the willingness of God to respect that virtue in us, there is a clear expression of love on the part of the one who received the guest in the parable, and that counts for more than anything else on earth before God!
Love is simply the greatest. When it is on display, God is at alert, ready to grant the prayers of the lover.
