The Man In Love
As we mentioned earlier, the fruit is crucial for accessing our desires from the Father. The Father is looking for fruit from each of us abiding in Jesus Christ. Without the fruit, we will be taken away according to John 15:1-2. The commandment to love our wives is therefore geared to serve the desire of the Father and His demand for fruit from us.
To Showcase Jesus And Evangelize
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35
When we love one another, the scripture says it would be obvious to all men that we are Christ’s disciples. That means, when husbands love their wives all men would know that they both are Christ’s disciples. Through husbands love to their wives therefore, Christ is showcased. The love that attracts the world to husband and wife as disciples of Jesus is that which Christ also showed to His church (Ephesians 5:25). That attraction to the world is meant to be so strong and sufficient to evangelize for
