To Grow The Church In Size And Beauty
When love exists between husband and wife, it represents a testimony that points to Jesus. The testimony of love between them advertises Jesus and makes Him an attraction to those who do not know Him. That testimony, like other testimonies produced by the word of God, are potent for resulting in the growth of the church. In Acts 2, the testimony of the healing of the lame man at the gate of beautiful provided a platform for Peter to advertise Jesus. Resulting from that testimony, over three thousand others gave their life to Christ, and the church grew by leap and bounds thereafter. This is the point here: that the testimony of love between husband and wives is to grow the church.
The beauty of the church will also grow the more the wives whose lives are transformed by the love of their husbands. More wives become holy and without fault, along with their husbands,
