The Man In Love
The overriding purpose of the commandment of God to husbands to love their wives is to please God. God commanded us as husbands to love our wives to demonstrate that we love Him and to please Him. The problem with Adam was that he disobeyed the commandment of God not to eat fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam by not heeding God’s word, did not exhibit love for God and God was not pleased. Jesus on the other hand, enjoyed such love with the Father because He obeyed His word always. This is why God announced Him publicly when the Holy Spirit descended from heaven upon Him, saying He was well pleased with His beloved Son (Matthew 3:17).
To Bear Fruit
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.
John 15:16-17
The commandment to love our wives as husbands is given to make us bear fruit. All children of God are called to bear fruit.
