give what He did not have. The nature of love that He carried was solely behind the love that He expressed.
We read from the above scripture that the “things of a man” or a man’s nature, is known by his spirit that lives in him. By extension, according to scripture, the Spirit of God alone knows the things of or the nature of God. The love nature of God in Jesus, as His only Son, is by implication only known to the Spirit of God. Furthermore, the good news is that Jesus made provision for us to access this Spirit as a special gift from God.
Jesus referred to this Spirit of God as the Spirit of Truth. In John 16:13-15 Jesus said,
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
John 16:13-15
This is the Spirit that sets our ‘freedom’ in motion in the sense in which John 8:32 describes freedom. He is the Spirit that makes us to ‘know’ the truth that then empowers our freedom. Without the
