The Man In Love
John 8:32
It is not just knowing that love has been commanded by God but grasping the truth of that word. The truth of the word includes having a deeper revelation of what Christ love to His church means and experiencing first hand that love as a member of His church. Reading it in scripture and committing it to memory such that it can be reeled out when asked is not the knowledge that is required. Getting to this state of knowing the love of Christ requires more than just knowing the scripture.
Knowing Christ’s Love By The Holy Spirit
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

To love our wives like Jesus loves His church is to first know the nature of the love that is in Christ Jesus. Jesus did not
