The Man In Love
that the Father should accord us that privilege, it is now our responsibility to access the Holy Spirit from the Father, asking in the name of Jesus. The assurance of the Father’s willingness to give us His Spirit is given in Luke 11:11-13 that reads,
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
Luke 11:11-13
Jesus told us about the arrangement He has made with the father to give us the Holy Spirit in John 14:15-18 and then told us in Luke 11:11-13 that the Father is only waiting for us to ask so that He can freely give us the gift. It is up to us to ask now so that we can receive Him if we do not already have Him. It is wisdom for any serious child of God not to venture into marriage, a love relationship, with having the Spirit of love who will empower him to fulfill his primary obligation to his wife.
