Spirit, that is used to “purify the sons of Levi,” the priests that we all are in God, and to purge us as gold and silver.
“Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness. “Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to the Lord, as in the days of old, as in former years.
Malachi 3:1-4
The purification of the sons of Levi, who we have become in Christ Jesus, makes us fit for use by the Master. It makes us into righteous vessels that can be relied upon by the Father to represent Him well and to advance His kingdom here on earth.
We also know that we become children of God through Faith and faith comes through hearing the word of God. Faith is also preserved and increased by continuously feeding ourselves with the word of God. However, it is the Holy Ghost who produces fruit in our lives using the word of God. Matthew 3:11-
