The Man In Love
12 tells us that it is the Holy Spirit who cleans our ‘threshing floor’ with the ‘fan’ in His hand, gathering the wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire. The ‘fan’ in the Holy Spirit’s represents the word of God with which He gets His job of sanctification done in our lives. Hence, the more fruitful we are the more pleasing we become to the Father, and the more sanctified we are.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Romans 8:13
It is through the work of the Spirit inside us that the deeds of the flesh are destroyed, which defy us and make us unsuitable for God to use.
