So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Acts 20:32
The New Living Translation interprets “commend” as “entrust.” That means as we introduce our wives to the word of God, we keep her in the company that will build her up and sanctify her. The word makes us to understand that God through His word gives us a heritage of sanctification. It is important therefore, to ensure that our wives give a pride of place to the word of God by way of reading, hearing, searching and meditating upon the word of God. It is important to encourage her to develop a life style of regular study of the word and participation in activities where the word is prevalent. Joint study between husband and wife is vital for achieving this, and regular discussions between them should be the hallmark of their communication life. Husbands must put themselves in a
