bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:3-4
When satan came to tempt Jesus, a revelation was prompted from one of the encounters. In the scripture above Jesus told satan that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. This means that man does require bread to live but bread alone will not make man the best that God wants Him to become! That means that it is importance to be fed with good food but to that must also be added good spiritual food, which is the word of God!
Husbands must therefore ensure that their wives are well nourished in terms of the physical food that they eat. This can be better explained as ensuring that their wives feed as well as their economic capacity can take. Put differently, husbands are expected to go to any legitimate extent to ensure that they make available to their wives nutrition that is essential and adequate for their growth. If the wife is not feeding well, in quantity and quality, husbands are not fulfilling their mandate of love well. They must take interest in what their wives eat.
