The Man In Love
Like Isaac loved Esau because Esau gave him venison such as he loved, proper nourishing of our wives, providing for them ‘such as they love,’ would provoke heartfelt, deep-seated blessings from their hearts (Genesis 25:28; 27:27-29). Husbands must take note of the ‘venison’ that their particular wives love and ensure that they provide it from time to time to nourish them. Such gestures will provide wonderful blessings in their mutual love experience.
Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
Genesis 50:21
In the scripture above, Joseph told his brothers who had done evil to him hitherto, that he would provide for all their needs. Out of his love for his brothers, he gave them so much food, attending to their nourishment needs. It was without his power and capacity to minister to them at the level. The statement above was one of reassurance. In the same way, our wives must be rest assured that as husbands in love, their needs would be well provided for. We must see to it that at all times that is fulfilled. We must comfort our wives and speak kindly to them as well.
