The Man In Love
Prayer is the most important foundation upon which we build a relationship with God. It is so important to our journey in life. Jesus made it a point of duty to pray regularly. He stayed in touch and generated power as well through prayer. He took time to teach His disciples and the church how to enjoy this same privilege with God the Father. Not only did He do that, He encouraged us to ask anything from His Father and gave us His name as the key that unlocks His Father’s treasures. Jesus had a great testimony during His journey on earth in part due to His prayer life. His disciples observed that prayer had a unique impact on His life and could not help but ask that He teach them the secret of prayer in Luke 11:1. Jesus immediately responded positively to their demand that was by itself a prayer! It takes love for a man to show us this important secret and go to the extent of teaching us how it is done so that it can produce results for us. Husbands also must teach their wives how to pray. If prayer was crucial for Jesus and how love is patterned after him, then we must take it very seriously as well, both husband and wife.
