The Man In Love
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27
Jesus was a man of peace. The announcement of His arrival was characterized by peace on earth and goodwill toward men (Luke 2:14). At no time did Jesus make trouble with His disciples or any other set of people, except perhaps when the zeal for His Father’s house consumed Him and He chased out the moneychangers from the Temple. When He was about to leave the earth, He made the statement in John 14:27 and it further revealed His commitment to peace. Husbands must equally emulate Jesus in this regard. Let us ensure that our wives enjoy the peace of God in our relationships. We must refrain from troubling them and ensure that they enjoy the peace of the God of peace always in every way possible according to 2 Thessalonians 3:16,
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
