The Man In Love
His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Jesus did not fail to reassure His disciples that a great reward awaits those who make their choice to follow Him and to obey His commandments. There is the reward of eternal life and also the reward of a hundredfold here on earth. Indeed, there is the reward of a throne in heaven just like the one on which Jesus Himself would sit! In love, Jesus revealed to them that their labour of love would not be forgotten but it would be rewarded greatly (Hebrews 6:10). Pointing this out to all of us is a gesture of encouragement that assures that obedience to His commandments incorporates our interest at its core. Husbands must make their wives understand and remind them often of the reward abiding in the love that Christ commanded. This is because the ultimate of their love for their wives is to make heaven as well and to access these rewards.
