The Man In Love
The problem may arise where the husband is not matured and has no capacity or weak capacity to rule in righteousness and judgment. To rule in judgment means to be fair in all his dealings. We find it easy to obey the commands of Jesus because we trust that He is a righteous ruler and he does so in all fairness.
Being head of the wife, husbands also have a leadership responsibility. A leader identifies the path, shows the way, leads the way and effectively mobilizes his followers to come with him in their quest to achieve a lofty goal. This is a key responsibility for husbands, who are expected to take charge in their relationship, define the path to be followed on their journey, show the way, lead by example and mobilize the wife to follow willfully in pursuit of the attainment of the ultimate goal. This leadership responsibility is a key perspective from which husbands are advised to view their relationship with their wives so that they avoid being carried away by the ego of being (called) the ‘head’ of the wife.
Happy is the land whose king is a noble leader and whose leaders feast at the proper time to gain strength for their work, not to get drunk.
