The Man In Love
them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you.
Proverbs 4:20-25
The value of the combination of eyes, ear and mouth come out from the scripture above. The eyes help to give attention to and keep focus on the word of God. The ears help to hear the words of God as well. The mouth is to be kept from perversion and deceit. The eyes are to stay committed to the word of God. When these are in place, the heart is the primary, ultimate beneficiary, which resides in the body. He heart is where the head keeps the word of God and from there the mouth sets in motion the issues of our lives. The word in our heart, spoken forth out of our mouth, ministers life to the whole body and soundness of health as well. What must be taken away from this set of scriptures is the importance of the attributes of the head – eyes, ears and mouth – for accessing and keeping the word of God in the heart, from which every other area of our lives is affected positively.
