amount to much without the eyes in the head? Can the body amount to anything without the ears in the head? Can the body smell danger from far or near without the nose in the head? Can the body do without the blessings offered by the mouth? All these components are fundamental for the ultimate wellbeing of the body.
And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.
Genesis 13:14-15
The eyes help the head to see for the benefit of the whole body. From this scripture it is compelling that what the head sees is what becomes of the whole body. As far as the eyes of Abraham could see was the land that God committed to giving him. When husbands ‘see well,’ wives will benefit to that extent. In fact, when husbands see well, they prepare great possessions for their children. The extent to which Abraham saw defined the limit of the land that his seed could possess.
